FLAMING TORCH DINNER CLUB POEM

In Flaming Torch Dinner Club 
Ashleigh stayed course
The first course was Huitres Grillees
Came down with Avissi Prossecco
Sparkling all the way to down the hatch
And reminding Ovissi,The Persian Painter
Although Zohreh's art dazzling on the wall
Bodies are appreciative of good foods
And minds in love with nature.
In second course of Cresson Noyer
With Napa Cellars Sauvignon Blanc
I clicked on the wine glass and took a note
Remy thought I am writing another thesis on the menue.
Some came early,some came late and some ran deep
So oysters appeared 
And Chambored seared duck breast
With Folie a deux Pinot Noir
By this time Javier was Gipsy King of the show
In Guantanamero
While PBS crew were happily at hand.
Napa Cellars Chardonnay went well 
with Sebaste de Crabe Aux Herbes
And in the fifth course
Framboise Poire Pochee
Accompanied Terra d'oro Port Zinfendel
from Amadore Co. of Sacremento's sugar plum
To end the night
Reminding of faraway villages of Iran
Not to mention Potugal or Brazil.
By this time we were discussing Wines of Shiraz and Sirah
And even the word NAPA,meaning no foot to smash grapes
As a Persian word .
Also comparing wine as fermented liquor
with spirits as distilled Eau de Vie
The good thing in Dinner club is you don't say hello or good bye
And go straight to the bar
Where fiberoptic tree is playing color in light
While Zohreh and Hassan smile.
The next good thing is sitting with lovely friends like
Simin and Morteza a k a Momi
Brenda and Pat who came back all the way from Houston,Texas
Ashleigh,Who I saw her last in the movie: Gone With The Wind
Tom who believes the best Pizza in town is
Dominica Pizza in Roosewelt Hotel
And last but not least:Said.
Someone said:We miss Shiva June.
Michelle(with French accent) did a great job as chef
And so did the staff,
Amy,Remy,Richard,James,Tofo and Co.
Always present and always pleasant .
