Faramarz Soleimani For Nima , the founder of modern Persian poetry , the way of looking at life and poetry is different. Before Nima , poet is only using cliche and is not allowed to go beyond what has been used and said before him to write poems . Nima in his first major poem , Afsaneh , also considered his poetical manifesto and Ars Poetica resents this trend . He expresses his own ideas and images through love, which is seeking a flight in any moment, and logic, seeing puzzles in daily life.By this our pioneer poet is challenging the legacy of Hafez among other poets , as tricks . So to elude their mysticism in favor of realism in real personal life. On the other hand he is enjoying use of the tradition of narratives of persian literature in a newer structure to write his long realistic-romantic poem to found Persian modern poetry . The poem Afsaneh is that first step , meticulously designed and performed by our poet , to show the way and be followed by his peers like Mirzadeh Eshghi , and his students and followers as well...-FS
