EARLE THOMPSON,was born and raised in Yakima Reservation ،and Takoma ,Washington(The Other Washington.) He was dancing on the rim of the world when he died at age 56. I grabbed him on the arms
and asked him to recite a love poem.The Redman sang this song for THE FIRST WOMAN,our woman.
She is a reed swaying in blue
Chokecherries are the color of her
skin and her feet moisten the earth.
She sings and prays for the ochre moon
like the first woman.
