GEORGIA O"KEEFE:STILL LIE STILL IS LIFE

GEORGIA O'KEEFE,The first female American painter artist,realist,abstract,symbolist ,subjectivist,
and deeply inspired by photography with her still life and at times mystic works of objective  art.
With her familiar images in figurative abstract,such as petals,skulls and bones,also desertescape 
,Okeefe became renown internationally with her signature opus.

b November 15,1887,Sun Prairie,wisconsin
d 1986,Santa Fe ,New Mexico
Studied art in Chicago ,then in New York,where she lived for years,worked and then married with Alfred Stieglitz,and after his death ,moved to Albukerke ansd Santa Fe,Where her museum is located.
 GEORGIA O'KEEFE at age 1 married to American photographer Alfred Stieglietz ,her mentor and 24 years her signor.She continued to be his nude model.Some of these works are entwined with o'keefe's floral female genitalia and a part of thei photopainting project




Georgia O'Keeffe once said:
Nothing is less real than realism.It is only selection by elimination that we get the real meaning of things.
Her symbolic selection turned mystical denote female genitalia openly as a feminist move ,even though the artist maintains to deny it.But Freudian subcontious expresse it eloquently in her transparent artworks.
This introduction to the art of Georgia o'keeffe is written on the occasion of artist's birthday in November 15 and will be expanded and modified occasionally .--FS
