FORUGH:FRIDAY

Friday silent
Friday abandoned
Friday like old alleys,sad
Friday lazy sick thoughts
Friday long sly yawns
Friday waitless
Friday surrendered

House empty
House annoyed
House closed door to youth
House dark and thinking of sun
House lonely and tarrot and dout
House,curtain,book,closet,Images

Oh how proud and quiet passed
My life like a strange stream
In these silent abandoned friday
In these houses empty and annoyed
Oh how proud and quiet passed...

THOSE WERE THE DAYS

Those were the days
those good days
those healthu full days
Those sky full of scales
Those branches fuul of cherry
Those houses laying to each other in green walls of ivies

Those roofs of playful kites
Those alleys dizzy of scent of acacia

Those were the days
Those days that through my eyelids
My songs streaming like an airful bubble
My eyes slid on everything
Drank it like fresh milk
Looked like in my pupils
There was a happy quiet rabbit
Who was going every morning with old sun
to the unknown plains
and at nights returned to dark bushes

Those were the days
Those silence snowy days
That in a warm room through window
I gazed outside in each moment
And snow clear like soft down
Falling silently.
On the old wooden ladder
On loose rope of clothings
On tresses of aged pine tree
Tomorrow-
a   slippery white volume.

It started with rattles of grandmather's veil
and appearance of her tumultuous shadow at the doorway
-releasing suddenly if cold feeling of the door-
and sizzying draw of pidgeon's flight
in colorful frame of the window
Tomorrow...

Warmth of Korsi was numbing
I fast and audacious
Erased the rong lines of my homework
not for grandmaother to notice/
.
When snow stopped
I wa r running around in the yard
Depress under pot of dead jasmines
I was burrying my dead sparrow
*
Those were the days
Those days of rapture and wonder
Those days of sleep and sober
Those days every shadow had a secret
Each closed box hiding a treasure
Any back door corner in the silence of high noon
Seems to be a world
The one not scared of darkness
Was a hero in my eyes

Those were the days
Those days of eid
that expectation for sun and flower
In silent and shy society of wild daffodills
Who were visiting the city
In tha last morning of winter.
Those songs of pedlars in the long street of green spots

Bazaar was immersed in vagrant scents
in zesty smell of coffee and fish
Bazaar expanding with your pace.elongating, mixing with all moments of the road
and taking a nap in the bottom of doll's eyes
Bazzar was mother who was gone
with the speed towards colorful fluid volume
And returned
with gift boxes and full baskets
Bazaar war the rain falling down.falling down, falling down
*
Those were the days
Those days of stare at secrets of flesh
Those days of careful closeness with beaty of blue veinsA hand calling another
From behind the wall
with a flower
and the little spot of the ink
On this disturbed hand,anxious,scared
And love
Reflecting in a shy salute

In the hot smokey noon
We were singing our love
in the dust of alley
We were familiar with the simple language of daffodils
We were taking our heart innocently to the garden of kindness
and lent them to trees
And the balls exchanging in our hands with kisses
And it was love that confused feeling
Suddenly in the hallway
Surrounding us
And attracting us
In the full of burning breathings and flutters and
Hidden smiles
*
Those were the days
Those days like plants rotten in the sun
and disappeared in the alleys
Dizzy of scent of acacia
in a crowded streets of no return.
And a girl who was painting her cheeks
with geranium leaves
Is a lonely woman
Is a lonely woman

MARA HAVAS HAVASU

I SALUTE THE SUN ONCE AGAIN

I salute the sun once again
I salute again the stream streaming in me
To the clouds who were my long thoughts
To the painful growth of garden's aspens
Passing with me through dry seasons
To flocks of crows
who brought for me
The scent of night fields
To my mother who lived in the mirror
And looked like me in my old age
And to the earth
Who,my passion of repeating ,filled her firey inside
Of green seeds-
I salute once again.
I come,come,come
with my tress: continuance of scents under the ground
With my eyes:the thick experience of darkness
With bushes I picked from behind the wall
I come,come,come
and the sill is filled with  love
and at the sill
I salute once again
to those who love
and the girl
Who is standinding there
With love.

THE FIRST WOMAN(farsi/english)

EARLE THOMPSON,was born and raised in Yakima Reservation ،and Takoma ,Washington(The Other Washington.) He was dancing on the rim of the world when he died at age 56. I grabbed him on the arms
and asked him to recite a love poem. The Redman sang this song for THE FIRST WOMAN,our woman.
She is a reed swaying in blue
Chokecherries are the color of her
skin and her feet moisten the earth.
She sings and prays for the ochre moon
like the first woman.
