As mMozart's birthday on January 27th approaches,we see some list of great composers.In my A to Z Living Classical Music,THE CHILD PRODIGY goes:
Rossini,Mozart,Mendelssohn,Saint-Saen,Schubert...
Then comes NYT 10(+) Greatest,like:
Beethoven,Handel,Schoenberg,
Haydn(without e!),Schumann,Stravinsky,Tchaikowsky,Chopin,Brahms,Mozart ,Debussy...
O well! Mozart laughing last with all these notes in stack.He searched for substancenfrom childhood to the last opus:Requiem.On the other hand no list without Mahler is valid.Mahler translated classical romanticism into modernism.His unfinished Adaggio is a symbol of his work .And he said: My time will come.
In March 1, 2011 we celebrated Chopin,s.200 anniversary of birth.He is another great contender ,and then goes the playful priest,Vivaldi,or Ravel ,that we always marched his epic bolero,and wht happened to liszt and his symphonic poems?.

Antonin Dvorak's statue in Stuyvesant Park,Manhattan,New York,near Dvorak place and house.Where we lived for years together and enjoyed his presence and pieces ,from 1970 through early 1990's.
This was were Nima Buried his love bird, LOVIE THE FIRST,under a tree,after the sad crash.
There were talk of demolition of Dvorak;s  house or turning it into museum.

fryderyk chopin ,the polish composer of opus for piano, was 200 years old ,this past March ,but you didn't have to go all the way to Singapore to see him or his statute,or listen to the lovely music of this Warsaw boy.
