Canal crawls to show them all
Canals make boulevards

now with coffee in cafe

in boulevards 

and street cars

The gates of Vieux Carre are open  

now to lay in 

the carriage of your mind

and imagination

in Cafe du Monde

Marble fruits standing by marble fruits

It's been years I've been looking for 

a bronze woman by the fountain

I found her now being moved away 

from Faulkner

to the back of French Market

She looked like a fruit lady

sitting in the sun 

I sat again beside her

and Said took our picture

Bidjan asked if she was lookinf for him

I said 

you better send her our pic

she will be bronzed happy.

Let's stand tall in front of wrought iron fence and balcony

Let's be called New Orleans!
