Francis Bacon,master of distortion,enclosing and encasing his subjects,and inventor of tryptichs or three panel forms,was born in Dublin and lived in London,Berlin and Paris.His figures are contemporary and depict the angst of the world and its people.His accidental paint on canvas also are a matter of confusion of human beings in context of present daily life,

Bacon once said:

"I myself and the life I've lived happen to be more profoundly curious than the work.Then sometimes when I think about it I'd prefer everything about my life to blow up after I die and dissappear."

Is Bacon talking about us or on behalf of us,and are we the people of war era and clash of cultures ,who confusingly appear in his canvas with our masks of indicisions and chaos?

Raphael is considered a hallmark in painting and architecture.He moved to Florence to study new concepts of art by Michelangelo and Leonardo.Raphael  transcended his composition and draftsmanship,to find his own expression within new visual language.,At times his works shows a shade of Fra and others,but he remains to be one of the representatives of a productive period in the art.

SEURAT/VAN GOGH/GOYA

I am trying to find some bridges between Seura,Van Gogh and Goya,by comparing the facts of their life and their works.Seurat(d.29 March 1891)like Van Gogh(b.30 March 1853) left this world before reaching 40,but worked feverishly to make up for his short life.Van Gogh did so to fill his short life with masterpieces,and of course: Gauguin!
Goya (b.30 March 1746) arguably pioneered the modern time of painting by his dark genious,during his long life.He impressed impressionists like Van Gogh and especially his predecessor,and other pioneer of modern painting:Cezanne.This was through reality of revolution,war ,terror,chaos and despair in Goya's works,as paradigms of then,and modern time to come.
By these accounts,no matter in their short or long life,when they either were born or died these days,they have prophetically draw the turmoil,tumult and tsunami of this day and age.They were ahead of time in their minds and cretivities,as well as their vision and search.
Nowadays ,that is why ,if we open the papers or watch TV, we can see oeuvres of Seurat,Van Gogh,Goya,live from everywere in this dark world.

CEZANNE FOUND THE NATURE MORE IN DEPTH,AND  NOT MUCH ON the SURFACE.
