Once an impressionist, always an impressionist,Alfred sisley contrary to Renoir  or Monet never moved on.He started from Turner and Constable to Corot and Courbet,to find himself, mostly in Monet-sur-Long and Thames River and their bridges,or continue with landscapes and plain air in order to reach poetic pure forms. Also valley of Seine,Ile-de-France,Fontainbleau,and his friend Monet's Rouen Cathedral are especially in his views. He never became fully French and never completely English but citizen of both land and landscape in the society and art.
