In Mianrud,Beinolnahrein,Mesopotamia valley, part persian empire and part Akkadia of 24th century B.C.,now we can sing love songs in Akkadian,Assyrian,Sumerian,Kaldonians,Elamite,Phoenician,Semite or other languages. We may write the lyrics not only in cuneiform alphabets, but also in english, thanks to a new dictionary of old languages, just published by University of Chicago.
NO LANGUAGE IS A DEAD LANGUAGE.
The languages of Mesopotamia have been inscribed on walls, stones and clay plates. They had been used by Akkadian and then Hammurabi of 1700 B.C.,to write his laws.Gilgamesh, the first epic in the world literature, also written in these languages and alphabets .It was the official language of Nebuchadnezzar who built Hanging Gardens of Babylonia,to attract his wife's attention, but her love dwelled in faraway gardens.
Love could be said, in different languages but now with this new dictionary of 28000 words, there are new way of its expression. The other good news is you may access online  to Mesopotamian dictionary.
