jacques prevert in french and in english
blography by: moj

+ ENGLISH: BREAKFAST
He pored coffee
In the cup
He pored milk
In the cup of coffee
He added sugar
To coffee and milk
He stirred it
With teaspoon
He drank the coffee
And put it down
Without talking to me
He lit a cigarette
He blew rings
With the smoke
He flicked the ashes
In ash tray
Without talking to me
Without looking at me
He got up
He put on his hat
On his head
He put on his raincoat
Because it was rainy
He went out
To the rain
Without a word
Without looking at me
And I
I took my head
In my hands
And wept
