POSTCARD FROM ALEXANDRIA,VIRGINIA:DAVID GARRETT CROSSOVER

I went to David Garrett;s concert in Arlington,Virginia.
It was 2.22 and we sat around table 222 in Birchmere, reminding me of my father
who owned a humble piece of land
in Pele Garden, near Pol-e Tajan  in Sari
with this number.
But David Garrett is not from Mazandaran area.
The young ,30 y/o violonist ,"an international sensation",was born in Aachen,Germany
from a German father and an American balerina mother,
whose maiden name was chosen by Garrett as his own,
He  plays crossover classical and rock symphonies wih his small orchestra
of keyboard,drums and 3 guitars.
His violin sounds good, and you know,as well as Duke Ellington does,
when it sounds good,it is good.
And a young female voice from audience screamed to express her version:
You look so good.
Garrett played Rock classical of Beethowen,Mozart,Bach among others.
also Metalica,Zorba dance and romance
to relieve his anguish of recent break up with his girl friend.
When we took Susie to Metro Station ,in front of soon-to-close-Borders
I was thinking what if I see David Garrett
there with Joshua Bell's baseball hat
and Stradavarius violin.
By then it was dark though
and
even if he was there playing violin without all those electronic amplifiers,
I might  not have reconized him, then spare a dime and pass by.
No matter in Metro or Birchmere or Aachen
Still I think he is good
because he sounds good
-or as Susie said: He is gorgeous-
while  he ties a knot between hard rocks and soft classicals,
not to mention his version of Michael Jackson, drummy metalica
and real romantic recitals.
By the way
if you want to choose a special dish
in GARRETT's show
what would be more relevant than
GRITS with sautee shrimp?
With that delicious music
this was delicious too!
BOWING TO BOW
BOWING TO CROSSOWER
BETWEEN BOMBING ROCKS AND SILENT SYMPHO
BOY IS BOWING
BOWING BOW
