THE BABY MOON,A CANOE,A SILVER PAPOOSE CANOE,SAILS AND SAILS IN THE INDIAN WEST.

A RING OF SILVER FOXES,A MIST OF SILVER FOXES,SIT AND SIT

AROUND THE INDIAN MOON.

ONE YELLOW STAR FOR A RUNNER,AND ROWS OF BLUE STARS FOR MORE RUNNERS,KEEP A LINE OF WATCHERS.

O FOXES,BABY MOON,RUNNERS,YOU ARE THE PANEL OF MEMORY,FIRE -WHITE WRITING TONIGHT OF THE RED MAN'S DREAMS.

WHO SQUATS , LEGS CROSSED,AND ARMS FOLDED,MATCHING ITS LOOK AGAINST THE MOON-FACE,THE STAR-FACES,OF THE WEST?

WHO ARE THE MISSISSIPPI VALLEY GHOSTS,OF COPPER FOREHEADS,RIDING WIRY PONIES IN THE NIGHT?-NO BRIDDLES,LOVE ARMS ON THE PONY NECKS,RIDING IN THE NIGHT,A LONG OLD TRAIL?

WHY DO THEY ALWAYS COME BACK WHEN THE SILVER FOXES SIT AROUND THE EARLY MOON,A SILVER PAPOOSE,IN THE INDIAN WEST?

I MADE A PILGRIMAGE TRIP TO NMAI,
NATIONAL MUSEUM OF AMERICAN INDIAN
IT WAS SUNDAY NOV.15 AND WE SET THE TIME TO BE THERE BY
12 NOON TO SEE SINGING AND DANCING PERFORMANCE OF
KEVIN LOCKE AND
NATIVE DANCE ENSEMBLE IN THE ROTUNDA
OR POTOMAC ATRIUM.
THE MUSEUM OPENS ITS DOOR TO THE EAST AND GREETS THE RAISING SUN LIKE MOST NATIVE HOMES
THE SUN WHO GIVES LIFE AND TIME AND CALENDAR
AND GIVES GUIDANCE TO PLANTS,HARVEST
AND CELEBRATIONS
THE SUN WHO PAIRS WITH THE MOON
IN DUALITY WITH MALE AND FEMALE PLANT.
THERE IS A DESIGN IN LIVING THINGS THEN SHAPES, FORMS
AND THE ABILITY TO LIVE.
THE ABILITY TO GIVE LIFE AND CREATE,
AND ALL THESE ARE WITH MEANINGS.
AS I WAS GOING AROUND THE WAVY BUILDING
I ENCOUNTERED PAOVI DA
OF SANILDEFONSO PUBLO
AND MUSTARD AND COTTON
AND PUKOTWAROR OR CORN
AND IN NATIVE CROPLAND
SMOOTH SUMAC/EH YAP WITE.
IN HARDWOOD FOREST
THERE WERE
BIRCH
BEECH
BALD CYPRESS/ARTUBROADLEAF CATTAIL
KOH KA HASKWAR
AROUND THE POND.
BACK TO ROTUNDA KEVIN LOCKE WAS SINGING THE DANCE,AND DANCING THE SONGS,ACCOMPANIED WITH HIS FLUTE AND TALKING ABOUT DANCE/WACHI
SHIO SHIO WACHI YE
SHIO SHIO WACHI YE
AND THE HIGH DOME WAS ADORNED WITH
FLAGS OF INDIAN NATIONS.
LOCKE WITH HIS WOODEN RINGS WAS SUN AND MOON AND STAR AND SKY AND EAGLE.
HE DANCED EMOTIONALLY WITH SINGERS AND THEN THE DRUMMS TOOK OVER
HEY HOY YA HA HA HEY
rings and rings
a crystal ball
in color
as the free world
AND I WAS STANDING BY THE BEAVER AND THE MINK/LE CASTOR ET LE VISON,BY SUSAN POINTE OF COAST SALISH/SALISH DE LA COTE
OF BRITISH COLUMBIA OF CANADA.
WATCHING THE DANCERS WHO ARE NOW 15-50 0F THE CROWD,YOUNG AND YOUNGER AND ALL COLORFUL,
SUSIE ASKED WHY THESE PEOPLE CALLED INDIAN?
THERE WAS NO ANSWER
BUT THESE PEOPLE WHO ARE 10 PER CENT OF ORIGINALS OR ABORIGINALS ,WERE HAPPY TO SEE A LIVING CULTURE LASTING FOR MILLENNIUMS,
I MEAN MILLENNIA.
AND MAY BE FIRST NATION IS A GOOD NAME FOR THEM
OTHER THAN ORIGINALS
OR ABORIGINALS.
AFTER A TOUR OF HISTORY AND GEOGRAPHY
AND ENJOYING THE EXHIBITION OF BRIAN JUNGEN
AS STRANGE COMFORT
AND WATCHING THE BEAD CRAFTSMEN
AND DRUM SKINNER
WE WERE BACK TO THE SUN
TO LIVE IN HABITATS
TO WALK IN WOODLANDS
TO ROLL IN MEADOWS AND CROPLANDS
TO SEE WETLAND
AND NATIVES
LIVING IN THE WATER
LIVING IN THE WIND.
NOW I KNOW WHY THIS BEATIFUL BUILDING HAS SO MANY CURVES AND WAVES.
IT'S ALL FOR WATER AND WIND.
THE KASOTA ROCKS,A LIMESTONE OF MINNESOTA,
IS AN ARTWORK AND SCULPTURE MADE BY NATURE
BY WIND AND WATER
OVER THE YEARS
AND THAT'S WHY THE MUSEUM HOUSES
10 000 OF HISTORY AND CULTURES OF 1000
INDIGENOURS TRIBES,NATIONS AND PEOPLES
I STOPPED BY QUATZITE
OF NATICOKE PEOPLE IN SUGARLOAF MOUNTAIN
OF MONOCA,MARYLAND.
THIS ROCK IS USED TO MAKE ARROWHEAD
AND THERE ARE IN FOUR CARDINAL DIRECTIONS OF NATIONAL MUSEUM OF AMERICAN INDIAN.
THE REST OF GORGEOUS AFTERNOON WAS SPENT AROUND THE POND AND IN BOTANICAL GARDEN
WHILE THE SUN WAS GOING DOWN BEHIND INDIAN MUSEUM AND MAKING IT LOOK MORE GOOD LOKOING.

BEFORE I LEAVE I STOPPED BY TOTEM POLE


AND THE FIGURES CARVED ON A LONG CEDAR POLE TO THE CEILING.


THESE USUALLY ARE LIKE MEMORIALS OR EVEN FOR DECORATIONSWITH PEOPLE AND ANIMALS TELLING TALES AND STORIES


AND SOMETIMES ARE PAINTED TOO.


SO IT WORKS AS A PIECE OF LITERATURE,ART,PAINTING AND SCULPTURE.


IT DOES NOT DANCE


BUT WITH MUSIC


AND A MOVING SOURSE OF LIGHT


OR FIRE


THEY DANCE AS WELL


AND WILL BE A GOOD COMBINATION OF ALL TRADITIONAL ARTS AND CULTURES.



ON MY WAY OUT I WAS DREAMING OF PEACE AND TOLERANCE
THAT THESE DAYS WE ARE CELEBRATING THEM TOO
A DREAM CATCHER CAUGHT ME
I LET MY DREAM GO
AND STAY ALIVE
THE DREAM CATCHER LET ME GO TOO
AND FOLLOW MY DREAM THROUGH.
THIS WEBBED HOOPS
ARE EVERYWHERE
TO PROTECT YOU
AND ALSO
TO DREAM ON
AND ON.
THEY KNOW WELL THAT
ART,SCIENCE AND
CREATIONS IN LIFE
ARE BEING MADE WITH DREAMS
...AND LIFE IS A LONG DREAM






AND WE ALL LIVE IN DREAM CATCHER
